When AI compresses implementation, the bottleneck moves to requirements, architecture and verification, and a developer's value moves from typing the solution to defining goals, boundaries and acceptance criteria.
The talk follows the shift from implementor to conductor and from vibe coding to agentic engineering: rule files and context engineering, MCP, hooks and tests as a safety net, human review as a gate that changes shape and stays.
A demo shows an agent harness catching an error. The audience leaves with one question to take home: how much of their project's standard an agent can read today.

In 2021 you wrote code line by line; in 2026 you write the spec and direct the agents that execute it, while staying in command.
The talk derives, live, the developer's shift from executor to director: from autocomplete to autonomy, the verifiable spec, loop engineering.
A recorded demo shows that "done" is a claim that still needs proof, and the session closes with the first-hand account of an AI-native developer.

The launch talk of the GDG Brescia community.
With Nicola Luna I introduced the core concepts of agentic AI: the difference between a model and an agent, the anatomy of an agent (LLM, tools, memory, loop) and how RAG compares with agentic systems.
The centrepiece was a live demo of a multi-agent system built with Google ADK and the A2A protocol, a bid-analysis agent that reads public tenders, with two-layer human-in-the-loop guardrails (in the instructions and in code) and agent evaluation through unit tests and LLM-as-judge evals.
The talk closed with a tour of real agentic AI use cases.
