Talks & speaking by Matteo Gazzurelli

I'm a Fractional CTO and Agentic AI Consultant, and I've spoken at developer conferences for over a decade — from Android and mobile at droidcon and Google DevFest to today's focus on agentic AI. Below are my talks, newest first, with abstracts, topics and slides where available.

What I speak about

The through-line is building software that actually ships. For years that meant mobile and Android — REST clients, proximity, performance — at droidcon and Google DevFest. Today it's agentic AI: how an agent differs from a model or a chatbot, how to architect and evaluate multi-agent systems, and what it means for how developers work.

My current talks tie back to production-grade agentic systems on Google (Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform + ADK) and Claude (Agent SDK, Code) — not generic AI-hype sessions. If you run an event and want a talk on agentic AI in practice, the fastest way to reach me is the form at the bottom of this page.

The Developer's Role in the Age of AI

In 2021 you wrote code line by line; in 2026 you write the spec and direct the agents that execute it — while staying in command. The talk derives, live, the developer's shift from executor to director: from autocomplete to autonomy, the verifiable spec, and loop engineering. A real recorded demo shows why "done" is a claim, not a proof — and it closes with an AI-native developer's first-hand account. No hype: this is already the present.

Delivered as the launch talk for the GDG Brescia community, Matteo Gazzurelli and Nicola Luna introduced the core concepts of agentic AI: the difference between a model and an agent, the anatomy of an agent (LLM, tools, memory, loop), and how RAG compares to agentic systems. The centerpiece was a live demo of a multi-agent system built with Google ADK and the A2A protocol — a "Bid Analysis Agent" that automates public tender analysis — with a strong focus on two-layer Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) guardrails (instruction-based and code-enforced) and on agent evaluation via unit tests and LLM-as-judge behavioral evals. The talk closed with a tour of real-world agentic AI use cases.
